I'm going to have to disagree with this review. xP

Mainly, they seem to be under the impression that Season 7 would be better the second time you watch it, and I really doubt it. Season 7 had a lot of the same problems as Season 6. Too cheesy most of the time, awkward jokes, touching moments that weren't particularly touching, etc. My biggest problem was Elliot. She's changed too much. She's no neurotic any more! The few times they tried to remind everyone that she's kind of a basket case I was pretty sure she was going to stop in the middle of her little rant and just say "Ah, screw it, I need a drink."

I watched Season 6 twice. (Once alone and once with my husband.) It was bad the second time, too. :P

I really hope they fix things up for next season like they seem to want to. It used to be the funniest show on TV. These days I have to put my husband in a headlock to get him to watch it with me.

i'm surprised a positive season 7 review existed. it definitely wasn't their best. however i'm very understanding as to why it wasn't their best. it's very hard to have to wait so long to see if you'll be picked up for another season. that uncertainty has taken a toll on the show, imo. and then they didn't even get to finish taping season 7. i'm just glad they're coming back for an 8th season knowing it's their last. i care how the show ends. but i care more that they get to end on their terms, which is what this show deserves.

One great thing about season 7 is that when they were writing and producing the episodes, they thought it was the last season, so there are a lot of inside jokes and references that long-time fans would enjoy. One example is all the various teases about the Janitor's real name that were sprinkled throughout the season. Plot-wise, it may not have been the strongest season, but I love the little nuances and nods to times past.
