Critic's TV pick: The last episode of 'Scrubs'

After seven seasons on NBC, "Scrubs" exits tonight, but it doesn't go quietly. In "My Princess," Cox (John C. McGinley) turns a tough day at the hospital into a fairy tale for his young son, with all the "Scrubs" regulars as characters: Princess Eliot (Sarah Chalke), the Village Idiot (Zach Braff), two-headed Turla (Judy Reyes and Donald Faison), the Giant (Neil Flynn) and the Dark Lord (Ken Jenkins).NBC is billing the episode as only a season finale and hasn't even made much of that. But in fact, this is the last "Scrubs" that will air on NBC.
To escape cancellation, creator Bill Lawrence is moving the comedy to ABC, with production reported to be already under way for an 18-episode eighth season. Expect an announcement from ABC when it unveils its fall schedule next week in New York.Watch it? For a typically zany episode of a comedy that has devoted fans but has never appealed to the masses.
